In January 2022, Shanghai WONTAI Green Vanadium Technology Co., LTD., a subsidiary of WONTAI Group, won the detailed exploration right of Dunhuang Wuyishan Vanadium Mine with 181 million yuan, and obtained the right to explore related mineral resources in the registered exploration area according to law, laying a solid foundation for the vanadium flow battery energy storage strategy of the company.

The mine is located in the Wuyishan mining area north of Dunhuang City in Gansu province,The mining area is 36.68km².According to the data, the vanadium resources in this area are superior, and the reserves are expected to reach medium scale.


Vanadium is the key raw material of vanadium flow battery electrolyte, so the vanadium resource becomes an important part of the vanadium battery industry chain. In order to further open up the industrial chain, ensure the stable supply of vanadium resources and reduce the energy storage cost of vanadium batteries, WONTAI actively arranges the upstream vanadium resources and has become the only enterprise in the domestic vanadium battery industry that controls the upstream vanadium resources.
