WONTAI POWER Completes Delivery of Another 6-Hour Discharge Project

Recently, the main equipment delivery for the Xinjiang Huadian Hami Shisanjianfang 11.5MW/70MWh vanadium flow battery energy storage project, awarded to the consortium of China Huadian Engineering Corporation and WONTAI POWER, has been completed. The power pods, storage tanks, and PCS step-up integrated units have been hoisted into place and are now entering the on-site installation and commissioning phase.

The project comprises three types of energy storage technologies: lithium iron phosphate, high-voltage cascade lithium battery, and vanadium flow battery. The total project capacity is 250MW/1000MWh, of which the vanadium flow battery installed capacity is 11.5MW/70MWh (discharge capacity). This project is one of the few in the industry with a 6-hour discharge duration. Upon completion, it will fully leverage the long-duration energy storage characteristics of vanadium flow batteries.

Since WONTAI POWER first delivered a 6-hour discharge project for a major listed manufacturing company in Zhejiang Province in 2023, the company has successively delivered multiple projects with discharge durations of 4 hours or more across Zhejiang, Guangdong, Shandong, Hebei, and Xinjiang. These cover various application scenarios, including 4-hour discharge, constant-power 4-hour discharge, 5-hour discharge, and 6-hour discharge. WONTAI POWER offers both station-type and fully containerized integration solutions for its customers and has accumulated extensive experience in product design, dispatching, and operation and maintenance for long-duration energy storage.
